Single NOR-bearing chromosome pair was identified; active rDNA sites were located on short arms of the 18th chromosomal pair, coincident to secondary constrictions; C-banding shows conspicuous heterochromatic blocks; GC-specific fluorochrome staining (CMA3) positive marks were detected on the 18th pair; FISH with 18S rDNA probes shows single NOR-bearing chromosome pair
